PointPro awarded contract to develop pre-feasibility studies for implementation of Integrated Solid Waste Management Solutions in Strumica-Radovis and Polog, Macedonia
The Regional
Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC), Country
Office Macedonia, has awarded PointPro Consulting the assignment: Pre-feasibility
Assessment of Options for Establishment of Integrated Solid Waste
Management Systems in the Strumica-Radovis and Polog Regions, Macedonia.
The task is part of a wider development initiative funded by the Norway
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and implemented by the REC in both Regions.
Throughout the
assignment, PointPro’s Sustainable Development consulting team will be
assessing a wide range of practical technical solutions and
organizational possibilities for initiation of activities focused on
establishment of systems for integrated management of municipal,
industrial and agriculture wastes in the Regions. Important aspect of
the pre-feasibility assessment is also the development of ISWM
implementation strategies and business models, separately for both
Regions. The assignment is considered an important activity that will
help the Regions solidify and significantly improve their environmental
performance.
